Revision

Sometimes when I reread older poems and posts, I see how I can write a poem a little better now. I have read more, and I may think of a more precise or descriptive word. This can make a big difference with a small poem.

And I may also discover a poem is better than I thought. Or If I try and make it “better” now, I might lose the heart of the poem as written then. I can always post both versions. Sequences of haiku about a theme can also grow over time. Or I can post different forms together – for example, haiku, tanka, and acrostic poems.

I enjoy post and blog design – an art form too.
Always more to learn, and I am grateful.

And I can try different “poem ideas” in a blog post, a handwritten note card, an art journal page, and other projects.
